Retailer Letter

May 2007

Dear Retailer,

In conjunction with C&C (Ireland) Ltd. the Gaelic Players Association (GPA), on behalf of all our inter-county players, would like to thank all retailers for their continued support of Energise brands, particularly, those who prioritise our brand over international competitors.

Energise Sport, the only leading isotonic sports drink, which is 100% produced in Ireland has already been a huge success taking 20% share of the sports drink market (Canadean MAT 2006). Following on from this initial success Energise Energy drink was launched and has been received very well by Irish consumers. Energise Sport Recovery 20 is a protein/carbohydrate recovery drink, which helps elite athletes recover faster. Energise Sport and Energise Energy are the official sports and energy drinks of the GPA. Money from every Energise product sold will directly assist Gaelic players in every county. This will generate significant funds for players. We welcome your continued support for Energise enabling us to continue to meet our objectives to improve player welfare.

The structure of our arrangement with C&C (Ireland) Ltd. is effectively performance related, the more product that is sold, the more funds we can attribute to our scholarship scheme (over 150 players have benefited to-date), benevolent fund, and the 64 Official County GPA Funds in hurling and football we intend to establish. Money spent on Energise and Energise Sport will go to the players in your county. Many players have also already benefited directly through promotional and advertising opportunities. The GPA and Energise also conduct fitness and conditioning seminars throughout the country, targeting coaches and mentors of club and county players. These seminars are of huge importance to all players, educating coaches on best practice in this area at international level.

As a prominent retailer in your area, we welcome your full support for this unique (100% Irish) initiative that enjoys the full support of players throughout the country.

The GPA was established to campaign on behalf of Inter-County players to improve player welfare pertaining to their participation in Gaelic Games. The GPA is a non-profit making association and unlike other players' associations is completely self financing through our sponsorship and commercial program. We strongly believe that the basic principles of player welfare should be acknowledged and adhered to commensurate with the level of dedication and commitment devoted to the games by players. We have campaigned strenuously on issues such as insurance, drug testing, provision of meals and playing gear, allocation of tickets, expenses, refereeing standards, disciplinary procedures and the provision of sports grants for Gaelic players by the government. The GPA is not in favour of "Pay for Play".

As we commit ourselves to progressing these issues of vital importance to our players, we look forward to your continued support through Energise Sport, Energise Energy and Energise Sport Recovery 20. You can make a difference, so please do, in whatever way you can. Players greatly appreciate your assistance and once again we thank you on their behalf.

Is mise le meas,

Dessie Farrell
