Energise Sport Awarded For Special Achievement
7th June 2007
Energise Sport, the only leading Sports drink that is 100% produced in Ireland, was awarded a Special Achievements Award in the 'Top 50 Business as Gaeilge Awards', for its use of the Irish language in its marketing communications. The award was presented at a reception attended by the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Eamon O Cuiv, in Dublin's Four Season's Hotel.
Energise Sport's "Scaoil an Fuinneamh" (Release the Energy) TV ad campaign, won the award in the category which recognises a business that uses Irish as a marketing tool in the private sector.
Christine Keohane, Senior Brand Manager, Energise said, "It is an honour for Energise Sport to receive an Irish language business award and as a 100% Irish product, Energise Sport is proud to be aligned with the Irish language. As the Official Sports Drink to the Gaelic Players Association and the Irish Rugby Union Players Association, the brand prides itself on being associated with the best of all things Irish and since its launch in 2003, Energise Sport has gone from strength to strength. To have an award-winning ad campaign under our belts, fuels our passion to drive the brand even further."
This achievement is the latest in a series of awards won by this Energise Sport TV Ad campaign. Last year, the brand was the recipient of Foras na Gaeilge's Ad of the Decade Award.
The winning ad, "Scaoil an Fuinneamh", is an epic production filmed on a lake in the Wicklow Mountains. It features a number of leading GAA stars displaying their extraordinary skills in a heroic game of football and hurling. The ideal lake setting highlights the rehydration benefits of Energise Sport. As well as receiving the Award, Energise will also appear in a dedicated publication profiling the Top 50 businesses and their achievements.
